Adv. Whittal (NANHRI Chair) Is Awarded the De Sanctis Award for Human Rights

NANHRI celebrates the achievement of its chair Advocate Joseph Whittal, who recently received the De Sanctis Award for Human Rights. This prestigious award recognizes the exemplary efforts and celebrates achievements of authoritative figures who have distinguished themselves in defending human rights.

Advocate Whittal has been very instrumental in the protection and nd promotion of human rights in Africa, making outstanding contributions in the national human rights institution in Ghana, also known as the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

He also serves as the Chair of the NANHRI Working Group on SDGs, tasked with ensuring sharing of experiences and good practices between and among the African NHRIs in monitoring and contributing to the implementation of both the agenda 2030 and agenda 2063 at national level.
